Justin
流利度问题(五场表现一致): 单词起头卡(a- / be- / con- / cell divi- / you cannn);长句说崩(immigrating another to another country);术语失忆(apoptosis / telomere / necrosis)。
When I was a child, time felt very long and I wished I could grow up. — 主语是 time 不是 I;wished 后面用 could
But now it feels like time speeds up. — it feels like + 完整从句,feels 加 s
Money is the hardest part of immigrating to another country. — the hardest part of doing;immigrate to
Immigrating to another country means isolation. You isolate yourself from your relatives and friends. —
Traveling around would be a good way to eliminate the feeling of loneliness. — assimilate
I'd choose England as my first choice of immigration. — 9/15
Freedom depends on context. It's not absolute — it's shaped by your perspective, your circumstances, and your trade-offs.
We need to follow laws because rules regulate our behavior. We can't do whatever we want. — adhere to laws;behavior 不可数
👶🤖 语言与 AI
Children pick up English by listening to their parents and interacting with them.
AI models learn from large amounts of data, but humans pick up language from the environment around them. — learn from
Without real-world grounding, models can't truly understand meaning, so they can sound confident but be wrong. — can't + 原形;sound confident / be wrong 平行
Models don't really understand the meaning; they just use the surrounding context to predict the next word.
Honestly, I'm not totally sure what consciousness is. It feels like a philosophical problem. — not 在 totally 前;what consciousness is
I don't think AI models have consciousness, because there are some limitations, like no sense of touch.
Humans learn from the real world, so they develop emotions. By contrast, AI learns from large amounts of data.
If AI could truly understand feelings, it would be much more powerful. — could + would 配对
Memory isn't a recording — it's a process of reconstruction. We can recall memories in our minds, but we can't read them. — reconstruction
It has happened many times. Our brain is a precise machine, but it still makes mistakes sometimes — and that's normal.
The words are on the tip of my tongue — I know exactly what I want to say, but I just can't get them out. — on the tip of my tongue;get it out
Honestly, I prefer to focus on healthspan. For me, it's more important to live a higher quality life.
If I could slow aging even just a bit, I'd travel around the world, see beautiful scenery, and enjoy a different life. — scenery 不可数;slow aging
From my perspective, our cognitive abilities decline with age, so maybe I'd be lying in bed because my limbs would wear out over time. — lie in bed 不加 the
As we all know, people cloned a sheep called Dolly several years ago, but I'm not totally sure about this topic. —
Normal cells are programmed to die. This process is called apoptosis. — = programmed cell death
There's a limit to how many times a cell can divide.
Telomeres get shorter every time a cell divides. Cancer cells can bypass this control and keep dividing. — 伴随用 as / each time(不用 while)
If the mechanism fails, cells might divide uncontrollably, and it may lead to cancer. — divide uncontrollably;lead to cancer 不加 a
There's an interesting trade-off here. In a sense, it's a double-edged sword. — in a sense ≠ in some ways
The same mechanism that protects us from cancer also contributes to aging.
CRISPR works like molecular scissors — it finds a specific DNA sequence, cuts it, and replaces it. — scissors
In fact, with the development of technology, CRISPR has become more feasible, because many tools for working with molecules and cells have been developed. — work with + 物 = 操作/使用
what / where / why / how
谈"事实上不是这样"用 could/would;谈"一种可能后果"用 might / may。
lie in bed(不加 the)/ get it out / on the tip of my tongue / so(不是 so that)/ By contrast / agree with / adhere to / immigrate to / learn from / continue to do / scenery 不加 s / real-world 连字符
术语脱稿 — apoptosis / telomere / telomerase / necrosis / mechanism / feasible,先立画面再进句子(apoptosis = "a pop off";telo = 末端;necro = 死亡)。
It can lead to cancer.
这和 9/21 你抓到 "I know I want to say what" 是同一件事,但更深:上一次是抓一个错句,这一次是抓一个习惯。
Keep it simple, keep it yours.💪
